LAGOA GUARAÍRAS, PRAIA DO
GIZ E PONTA DO PIRAMBU
The
lagoon impacts in its magnitude and beauty and dazzling
sunsets, fishing, boat trips and kayak tours. It is the
main entrance for those who come from Natal by the beach
and cross the lagoon in ferry boat.
Praia
do Giz is located in the urban area of Tibau where the lagoon
meets the sea, beach of white sands and coconut trees protected
by reefs, creating natural swimming-pools during low tide
ending at Ponta do Pirambu.

CACIMBINHAS,
PRAIA DA BÓIA
E PONTA DO MADEIRO
These
beaches have good long waves and wind, perfect for the practice
of surf and kite-surf. The access is by a staircase in the
cliff.
You
have to stop and delight one of the most beautiful views of
the region. You will also find here a huge dune that serves
as a runway for the practice of sandboard and horse-back riding.

| PRAIA DO MADEIRO
This
is the favorite beach of tourists, accessible by staircase
from the Village Natureza Hotel. It is constantly visited
by dolphins and surfers and is one of the most beautiful and
popular beaches of the region. It is a long white sand beach
surrounded by plenty of coconut trees and cliffs, perfect
for hiking, surfing, kite-surfing and sun and sea bath. |

BAÍA
DOS GOLFINHOS
Its
name comes from the practice of older fishermen who built
wooden traps made of sticks to capture fish. Baia dos Golfinhos
or simply Golfinhos is the actual name given by the younger
fishermen, due to the presence of dolphins.
This beach is an extension of Ponta do Madeiro, separated
by a cliff and stones and it is the most frequented and visited
beach by the dolphins. It has good waves for the practice
of surf, kite, kite-surf and bathing. It does not have beach
shacks, just a few occasional sales-men. A schedule of tides
must be consulted to reach to this beach. It is also frequented
by boats and launches tours, as part of the roadmap for a
stop for swimming.

On
the week-ends, at low tide, it is used as a field for the
Annual Championship of the foot-ball teams of Pipa. It is
the wildest beach of Pipa. |

PRAIA DO PORTO,
PRAIA DO CENTRO
E PONTA DO CABO VERDE
These
are the urban beaches of Pipa. Boats are docked in Praia do
Porto. Its access is by stairs near the Garagem Bar. In this
beach, natural pools with warm water appear at low tide. You
can swim at high tide. If you want to catch waves, you must
swim into the sea passing by the reefs.
Praia
do Centro is where tents and tourists come to spend the day.
It has an easy access that can be reached by car.

Ponta
de Cabo Verde is formed by the Vela Vicensa hill where you
can find natural swimming-pools between stones inhabited by
colorful fish and tiny crabs. It is possible to climb this
hill and a marvelous view of Pipa can be appreciated on top
as well as a glimpse of the big sea turtles. |

AFOGADOS
(PRAIA DO AMOR)
This
beach is preferred by the surfers because of the strong waves.
It is dangerous for swimming because of its strong currents
and whirl-pools. Be careful, go into the sea in the presence
of surfers or safe guards only.
At
the end of his beach, going south, the "Pedra do Moleque"
or the stone of Pipa is loated, This stone gave the village
its name. You will find lots of natural swimming-pools there.

CHAPADÃO, PRAIA DAS MINAS
E SIBAÚMA
Going
south you will find the Chapadão with 6 km of deserted
beaches and cliffs with wonderful views until you get to
Sibauma village.
Sibauma
is not very well known and it is frequently visited by natives.
In this place the Catu River runs into the sea and you can
cross it with a raft to Barra do Cunhaú village which
is a perfect place for hiking, biking and Buggy tours. Going
south you will find the Chapadão with 6 km of deserted
beaches and cliffs with wonderful views until you get to
Sibauma village.
